At Wootton Bassett hockey club we value the importance of developing the talents of young players. Today, many of the players in all the teams have come through the ranks of the junior section.

We welcome all juniors with any experience. From juniors who want to try out hockey, to the more experienced players who want to join a club.

Training girls and boys 5 - 16 years:
09.15 to 10.30am Saturdays, Wootton Bassett School

Older Youth squad members may be invited to play for our Ladies or Mens 3rd XI teams (see Mens and Ladies Hockey pages for details of fixtures and results).

Youth Hockey Members and Parents:
If you or your children would like to take part in any of the events detailed in Club News on the Events Diary page or have any goods to donate for our fundraising sales events, please could you let the Youth Hockey Team Coaches and Helpers know at the training sessions.

We play every Saturday Morning, in (almost) any weather, on the artificial turf pitch at Wootton Bassett School.
The pitch is set to the left-hand side and behind the main school building. There is plenty of parking in front of the School just inside the main gates. We will supply the sticks and equipment to get you started. You just need to turn up and enjoy yourself.

The season will consist of two blocks. 14 weeks before Christmas commencing in September, and 11 weeks after Christmas.
If you pay for one or both full blocks of sessions in advance you will get a 10% discount (a saving of £5 over the season). No refund can be given for non-attendance. Joining Fee subscriptions are due by week 3, with Weekly Fees payable on the day.

Information for parents
It is the responsibility of each parent to ensure his or her child turns up to a training
session or match with all the necessary equipment and appropriate clothing. This will
ensure your child is properly protected, warm and dry in all weather conditions.
